Make a game-oriented device, n-gage QD style. declined
Some n-gage compatible phones are better than others when it comes to gaming, but i still have to see a next-gen n-gage compatible device that can compare to the n-gage QD when paying attention to D-pad responsiveness and ease of use -especially in fast-paced action games- or to the general ergonomy and gaming experience.
Some improvements that should be made, though, include:
-Stereo sound and loud speakers
-Horizontal screen, please.
-QVGA
-TV Out
-GPS
Basically, you could build something similarly specced to the 6220 classic, only the camera wouldn't need to be that good, and it should have a diferent form, and of course the N95's 3D accelerator. But the insides of it, the 6220 is good enough, I suppose.
We are continuously working with the people in Nokia responsible for devices to improve gaming ergonomics and gaming features. We have not announced any plans for a dedicated N-Gage gaming device and we are focused on bringing the N-Gage service to a wide range of devices so consumers have more choice. It is worth mentioning that the N-Gage team works closely with product programs to bring game specific features to our devices. For instance in landscape mode on N81, N95 8GB, N85, N96 and Nokia 5320 the multimedia keys become gaming keys.

Yep, come to think about it, gps isnt really needed.

GPS isn't necessary, it's not really needed on a phone, especially if it's to be a gaming phone. If they want to make a gaming phone they won't need anything fancy like GPS, just key gaming elements like a gaming layout, big screen and WiFi/3G/Bluetooth. If anything fancy it should just be a camera.

No need for Gps, we dont want the device to be too beig, do we?
Wifi is a must!

WiFi is a must! In Australia, Data Plans are very expensive and it would be much easier for me and my friends to utilise online gaming and download Updates via a WiFi connection
Also a Gaming phone might not be the best because of the state N-GAGE is in. If one is made I would hope for a more upscale version of the 5320 except in a permanent landscape form (possibly a slide-up keyboard phone)?

No problem, I thought people would want to know about it as there's nothing quite as fun as constructive criticism. ;-)

By the way Tzer2, I got here through Allaboutsymbian. Thanks for posting about this forum, didn't know about it.

They're taking little footsteps in that direction, the upcoming 5320 is N-Gage-compatible and has dual grips on the back to make it easier to hold horizontally for long periods of time. You're right though, there could be an even more ergonomic model for people who play longer gaming sessions.
But maybe Nokia wants to see how the new platform does before making another game-oriented model?

It added my name to the idea when I created the account. It appeared as an anonymous before, hence my comment. Must sound weird now.
