<text>One of the big advantages of selling games by download is that bugs can be fixed and new versions issued to everyone who bought the old versions.

This has already happened: since its release in February, Creatures Of The Deep has had a graphics upgrade so it now has higher resolution in most locations in the game. The new version is free to everyone who bought the old one. However, not many people know about this upgrade because there was no way for the developers to tell them.

There should be an automatic alert in the N-Gage app when a newer version of a game the user has purchased is available. The alert should also contain an option to download the newer version (or perhaps just download a patch, to save on time and bandwidth?).</text>

<text>Brothers In Arms is the most obvious wasted opportunity for a demo as it lasts a measly 20 seconds. Why don't developers realise that this type of restriction will put off far more consumers than win over to buy their game.

Maybe Nokia can implement a clause in their Quality Control process that says a demo must be what it says ... a demonstration of the game with (for example) at least one playable level.</text>

<text>Some people have posted on All About N-Gage that they couldn't buy a game because they didn't know how to enter an @ symbol on their phones.

I know it's easy when you know how (just keep pressing 1 until it appears), but not everyone does know this as it's not obvious how to do it.

If this issue is preventing people buying N-Gage games then Nokia ought to make it easier to enter an e-mail address when buying games.

Maybe the @ could come pre-entered on the purchase form, and people could write their address around it?</text>

<text>Dirk Dagger has a Flash-based demo, which is great because it means anyone can try the game out even if they don't own a phone.

But it would be even better if demos like this included embedding code on the official site so they could be easily embedded in people's own blogs and websites, a bit like a YouTube video or the upcoming PC version of Reset Gen.

Obviously no one expects complete games for free, but embeddable demos would be a great way to spread the word about N-Gage to people who don't have compatible hardware yet.</text>

<text>Some games are excellent but don't have enough built-in help to let the player know how they work. This is a real shame because if people don't know how to play it the game is going to waste.

For example Pro Series Golf has virtually no built-in help at all, and it's not at all obvious how to change clubs. Many people, especially those new to golf games, are unfamiliar with using a swing meter too.

The suggestion is: make the official N-Gage specifications require some kind of help section built into each game that explains how to use ALL of the controls. An interactive tutorial (as in FIFA08 or Sims 2 Pets) would be ideal, but even just a simple text file would be better than nothing.</text>

<text>This Feedback Forum is a great idea for general suggestions, but there ought to be a separate site for reporting very specific technical bugs in games (for example if particular error messages appear when doing certain things in the game). It would give the developers a direct line to how their game is performing in the real world (or "gamma testing" as some people call it).

Nokia's internet tablet project has benefited greatly from their "Bugzilla" site which lets people report specific bugs. Bugzilla is probably a bit too complex for N-Gage, but some kind of simplified version might be just right.</text>

Wouldn't it make more sense to just not use zero in activation codes? It would cut out all the confusion.</text>
